MAY HALF TERM KIDS ACTIVITY WEEK
Check out our calendar for the windsurfing and sailing courses we will
be running in the May ˝ term. These courses will really set you up for
the summer, enabling the step up to Level 2 (after all our Level 1
courses you will receive a 10% discount voucher off your Level 2).
KIDS SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITY CAMPS
Due to the success of last five years of Kids 2 day Activity camps we
will be running even more sessions for 2006…
12 Activity camps will be starting from the end of July, so book in
early to guarantee you place!
(all dates on the calendar below, non residential).
KIDS COURSES
We will be running regular 2 day Windsurfing & Sailing courses for
7-16yr olds throughout the holidays, resulting in a Junior Level 1 RYA Qualification (logbook &
certificate all included).
WINDSURFING RYA LEVEL 1
:: A two-day course.
A fantastic introduction to this exciting sport. Initial instruction is
on a dry land simulator, where you can learn all the basics without
getting wet. Once on the water we teach you to sail across the wind and
turn around, so you can always get back to the beach!
A short theory session covering wind and safety will give you the
confidence to progress on to the next stages.

WINDSURFING RYA LEVEL 2
:: A two-day course.
Once you’ve completed a beginner course and had some practice time on
the water, Level 2 is the next step, if you want to go faster! With this
course we progress on to faster tacks, gybes, and beach starts whilst
using shorter boards & high performance sails.

START SAILING RYA LEVEL 1
:: A two-day course.
An introduction to the sport of sailing where you are shown on a dry land
simulator how to setup the boat, what the basic boat controls are, and then
you’re off! Either with an instructor, or with the rescue boat close behind… By
the end of the course you can expect to handle a small boat in light winds under
supervision. Basic wind theory and capsize drill are also covered.
BASIC SKILLS RYA LEVEL 2
:: A two-day course.
The aim of this course is to become confident and self sufficient in a small
boat, in light to moderate winds. You are introduced to more advanced sailing
skills like the ‘5 Essentials’ for maximising boat speed, reefing the sails and
a proper WET capsize! This is the benchmark certificate for all budding sailors
as it allows you to hire a boat in RYA centres throughout the world!
