Rye Watersports runs two day ‘Kids Camps’ over the summer holidays on our safe inland lake between Rye and Camber Sands, East Sussex, and only one hour from South London.
Our ‘kids camps’ offer the most enjoyable and safest ways of getting young ones into watersports – remember ‘Swallow and Amazons’! We have an Adventure Activities Licence which authorises us to teach children of all ages, and we are regularly inspected to ensure we uphold our standard of care since 1986.
These two day fun camps are for children aged 7 – 14 years. They are run over the school summer holidays and geared towards giving youngsters not only water confidence, but an introduction into windsurfing and sailing with an emphasis on FUN!! Raft building, races, and team activities teach the children to communicate and work together in a happy relaxed environment. Food and refreshments are included in the price of the two day camp.
Qualified RYA instructors, experienced with teaching children, are with the groups throughout the day. Camps are run from 10.00a.m to 3.00p.m over two consecutive days.
A few minutes down the road is Camber Sands which is ideal for younger children in the family to be taken with their buckets and spades.
Rye Watersports Kids Windsurfing and Sailing Parties
Have a party at the lake to celebrate your child’s birthday. We have been running children’s parties for several years now and they are enormously popular. The children can participate in all our lake based watersports activites.

All equipment and wetsuit is provided but not footwear. Please bring wetsuit boots or old trainers, or you can buy a pair of wetsuit boots in our shop, we keep all sizes in stock.
