Our kitesurf school operates from the fantastic kitesurfing beach at Camber Sands on the Kent and Sussex border in the South East of England and provides BKSA kitesurfing courses and private kitesurf lessons for beginners and more advanced riders. Family run and owned, Rye kitesurf school is recognised as a leading centre within the kiting industry.

Rye Watersports has been under the same ownership for twenty-five years and is the leading centre for kitesurfing lessons anywhere along the South Coast. It benefits from the expertise of George Clark (senior kite instructor) who set up and ran our kitesurfing school in Tarifa Spain for three years and, the passion and enthusiasm of Sam Bull (2nd in the BKSA junior championship 2010) and Liquid Force rider. Both George and Sam are part of the family team running Rye Watersports and work alongside Spence and Steve our two highly respected, permanent instructors.
We are the only kite school operating at Camber Sands that is authorised, as holders of an Adventure Activities Licence, to give kitesurfing lessons to children under 18 year of age
Kitesurfing is a real adrenalin charged sport and suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and love of excitement. The learning curve can be a rapid progression from kite-flying to riding the waves. Our detailed knowledge of the Kent and Sussex coast, and involvement in kitesurfing since its inception, gives us unrivaled experience to provide the most comprehensive and safe kitesurfing lessons anywhere along the South Coast.
Rye kitesurf school is only a 45 minute drive from Tunbridge Wells and is easily accessible by car or rail from London, Brighton, Sussex, Surrey and Kent, but if you live further afield why not turn your kitesurfing lesson into a holiday, and stay on this glorious part of the South East coast.
