Kitesurfing on the South Coast offers varied conditions, but we’re within minutes of some great beaches to run our kitesurfing lessons from. Our main teaching beach is Camber Sands, on the Kent and Sussex border, only three minutes from our lakeside centre. Camber has mainly south-westerly winds throughout the year, and shallow water due to a tidal range of about a mile.

The wind stats here are exceptional and compare favourably with most top locations around the world. This vast sandy expanse and waist deep water enables pupils to learn to kitesurf within hours. Visit our weather page to see what the wind is doing.

Greatstone in Kent is an equally good kitesurfing location with miles of sandy beaches, and shallow water. There’s always space to get away from other kitesurfers, which is essential when you’re going through the learning curve. Our unique position, on the tip of the South East Coast, means that if the wind changes direction we always have great beaches to run our kitesurf courses from.

Camber Sands and Greatstone are recognised as premier south coast locations for beginner kitesurf lessons and advanced kitesurfers out on the water to learn new tricks.  On this part of the coast it’s nearly always windy, and during the summer months a sea breeze will invariably kick in during the afternoon even if no wind has been forecast.

Once here on this wild part of the Kent and Sussex coastline London might seem a million miles away, but a kitesurfing lesson or three day course can easily be achieved by commuting, but… it’s much more fun to escape!
